On Monday, May 8, Excel Entertainment announced Vishal Ramchandani as the new CEO of the company. Vishal, who has been with Accel since 2008, has served as the company’s business head since 2018.
An MBA by academic qualification Talking about his career, Vishal made his debut in films as a Marketing Professional at Excel Entertainment. In the past, Vishal has led award-winning marketing campaigns for films such as fukery, watch again and again, SleepAnd Gully Boy, Within five years of joining the company, he was assigned to head Accel’s marketing division in 2013.
Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment has appointed Vishal Ramchandani as its CEO.
In a statement put out by the company, he appreciated the role played by Vishal as Business Head, saying, “Vishal has been instrumental in transforming Excel Entertainment from a creative production house to a studio that is self-funded, Markets and distributes films. Under his leadership, the company began to engage with diverse content such as kgf, which became a nationwide blockbuster. His vision as Business Head drove Excel’s growth by leading the talent division, building co-production deals as well as expanding into various verticals such as new media ventures and facilitating pan-India films.
“Vishal’s business and marketing acumen, coupled with solid industry relationships, has made him a key builder in the company. His efforts in building the Excel Entertainment brand over the past decade have been instrumental in the company’s success. With his appointment as CEO, Vishal aspires to transform the company into a leading global creative studio.
